Galaxy Gunner

This project was a result of an extended (~4 week) game-jam to pitch a collaborative project for our third year at uni. While full production would be undertaken as a group, I created this prototype solo (everything from the blueprints to 3D art).

It utilises UE5s forward renderer, which has some severe limitations that were fun to work around, with the goal of using MSAA to maximise the visible detail of quite small scale assets, as well as run on lower power machines. I recently got tested it on a Steam Deck and it hits 60fps max settings.

Sadly the project could not be continued as part of my Uni course but I will attempt to revisit it in the future, it's been a great way to familiarise myself with blueprints and Unreal in general.
